BFR is a special technique used in strength training for muscle growth enhancing training. The name comes from the words Blood Flow Restriction, which restricts blood flow by its name. The technique is suitable for more advanced trainers as part of another workout.
Arteries run deep in the limb and veins on the surface. Thus, the arteries pump blood from the heart to the limbs and the veins from the limbs ago. The BFR technique restricts venous blood flow with bandages at the base of the limbs. Work done to tighten and preferably in longer series. All this blood goes into the muscle, but weaker out of there.
During the series, the muscle should be used to apply the pump, i.e. the feeling of pressure. The technique can be used on used arm or leg muscles.
Note! Technology is not desirable for every movement!
Manual:
The tension bandage on the hands should be placed at the base of the upper arm and the bandage should be tightened on the groin during the leg movement.
- Tie the tourniquet fairly tightly to the base of the limb
